Fabric Stencil Paint

Picture of fabric stencil paint

Painting fabric is fun and easy for adults as well as children. For best results, wash and dry your fabric before painting. Place the cloth item over a piece of cardboard or posterboard to prevent paint seepage from front to back layers. If you are using a stencil to paint a design, secure the stencil in place with tape. Apply paint and carefully remove stencil. Do not allow paint to dry before removing the stencil. You can stencil with brushes or even sponges depending on the size of the stencil openings. After completing your project, lie the item flat and dry for at least 24 hours. Allow at least 3-7 days before washing. To wash, turn item inside out, place in washer using warm water, delicate cycle. Machine dry using low heat or dry flat. Please read the paint manufacturer's instructions before you begin your project.
